Team Reeves    

Steve and Viki Reeves have been in the horse industry for over 25 years in a combined effort in team roping, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, breeding and training.  Nestled in Valley Home, CA just out side of Oakdale.  Specializing in performance bred Paints and Quarter Horses.  Viki has been showing on the Arabian, Paint and Quarter Horse circuits for over 25 years.  Achieving national titles in Western and Hunter and many R.O.M.'S.  Steve has done everything from bull riding, jackpot team roping, colt starting to packing into the Idaho, Marble and Kennedy Mountains for deer hunts.  

We average between 10 to 15 head of horses.  From new born foals to finished roping and horses performance horses. Together, Steve and Viki are working hand in hand on breaking two year old colts from the ground up.  They are also focusing on incredible jackpot team roping horses.  

2011 was spent raising foals, participating in the Oakdale Saddle Club events and rodeo, moving our ranch and rehabilatating Viki from her accident.  Steve walked away with second place at the Sonnora Rodeo, heeling and took third place for the year end awards for the Saddle Club.He also took second place at the Sonora Rodeo, healing, in the Team Roping and third place all around at the Oakdale Saddle Club Team Roping.  Haili purchased a new horse and participated in her firest gymkanna and also team penned with the family in September.   

This year, we plan to start with local ropings, rodeos, gymkannas & Saddle Club Events.  Viki is riding again and hopes to be roping very soon. Haili has been taking lessons from Mary Jo in Oakdale and is excited for her first barrel race with the Jr. Rodeo.  We have several new horse purchases already this year and are can not wait to see the babies!!!

**UPDATE**  We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and helping us get through Viki's accident.  For those of you who do not know, Viki was involved in a terrible horse accident when they were on a mountain pack trip into Kennedy Meadows on Father's Day 2010.  She was thrown off a horse and down a 10', rock, cliff  and  landing on the right side of her head.  She suffered many injuries including moderate brain trama.   Her injuries has taken months, years, and on going recovery.  We thank you for all of your prayers and support.  Here are a couple of photos just minutes before the accident happened.
